Palatine, IL 1/5/2012 – The Chicago Muscle announces Advanced Foot & Ankle/Heel Pain Centers as the official team podiatrists and foot and ankle surgeons. The Chicago Muscle is tipping off their inaugural season January 6th, 2012 as Chicago’s new minor league professional basketball team in the Premier Basketball League.
Advanced Foot & Ankle is the largest podiatry group in the nation with over 250 offices in the Chicago
area. They offer services from routine check ups to advanced surgery, ensuring the players of the Muscle will be taken care of and in great shape for practices and games. With competitive play, the Muscle will take all necessary precautions to guarantee the lowest injury risk to the players.
“We are excited to represent the highest standards of foot and ankle health in professional athletics. Not all injuries for basketball players happen on the court. Heel pain is the most common ailment we treat, and through proper preventative health care we will make sure the Chicago Muscle players are at the top foot and ankle health throughout the season,” commented Dr. Neal Frankel of Advanced Foot & Ankle.
Being the official team podiatrist also gives Advanced Foot & Ankle the opportunity to partner with the Chicago Muscle on community involvement and philanthropy. The doctors at AFA are already partnering with the team for official Foot and Ankle Health Night with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Boy Scouts of America Northwest Suburban Regional Council. The Scouts instill a message of health and fitness in children at a young age.
“We are excited to work with the skilled podiatry team at Advanced Foot & Ankle and look forward to providing the best care possible for the players of the Muscle,” commented Dave Knickelbein, General Manager of the Chicago Muscle. “This partnership will not only serve as a sponsorship for our team but also a great working relationship in the community.”
